Job Description
The key responsibilities of the Electrical BIM Modeller (on-site) will be:
- Create 3D digital models of building projects using BIM software (Revit) including architectural, structural, and electrical components.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on site, ensuring the project deployment runs smoothly and requirements are respected.
- Generating and exporting electrical layouts and services in coordination with other disciplines using Autodesk SW, and other BIM coordination applications (Revizto).
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure that the BIM models accurately represent the design intent and are coordinated across all disciplines.
- Support the Estimation team by maintaining and upgrading BIM models with relevant data related to materials, specifications, dimensions, and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to track project expenditure by creating renderings, animations, and Visual programming.
- Effectively communicate the status of the BIM models and project progress to clients, providing them with insights into the design and construction process.
- Review drawings for compliance ensuring adherence to industry standards and amendments as required.
The Successful Applicant
Requirements:
- Electrical background (Degree or Diploma).
- Excellent AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM Modelling skills along with strong time management capabilities.
- Knowledge of electrical symbols and drafting conventions and standards (MEP)2-4 years of experience in BIM Modelling within the Electrical field.
- White card or security certifications (must have).
- Availability to travel on sites located in the North-Western side of Brisbane.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with good interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate with others.
- Valid driver's licence (company car provided).
