Job Description
What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Oversee the Opaline and Banquet team in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed
- Maximize revenues by upselling and following budget guidelines
- Handle guest concerns, reacting quickly and professionally
- Balance operational and Colleague needs
- Assist with scheduling, payroll, inventory and purchasing
- Provide training and coaching of team members
- Ensure Colleagues have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents, preparation methods as well as Sofitel standards
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed and Accounting standards are adhered to.
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for both ambassadors and guests.
- Oversee day to day operation of F&B areas in collaboration with other managers.
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Aspects of the Position (include but not limited to):
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Previous Food and Beverage leadership experience required
- Valid Food Handlers Certification required or the ability to obtain certification within 15 days once hired
- Valid ABRA license or ability to obtain license within 15 days once hired
- Previous Point of Sale system experience required
- Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required
- Hands on leadership style with the ability to prioritize and lead through example
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with great communication ability
- Must be available to work afternoon/evening shifts and weekends in a fast paced environment
