- To have a full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the assigned Place of Work to the standard set.
- Following up the financial cases and monitoring the front office cashiering.
- To assign responsibilities to subordinates, implementing Multi-Tasking principle and to check their performance periodically
- Oversee the entire Front Stage operation during the night to maintain high standards
- Serve as a point of contact for regular guests and ‘A’ List guests
- Complete night audit duties efficiently and effectively and assist the Accounts Receivable Agent with providing back up to invoices.
- Maximize room occupancy at best rates and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
- To prepare daily credit limit and cash reports.
- To maintain guest accounts.
- To make corrections or adjustments to bills as needed.
- To process all credit card transactions and prepare all reports for the hotel manager for the next day.
- To check deposits and match the hotel cash and credit reports.
- To obtain and account for the correct room revenue.
- To ensure that all room rate and guest information is correctly posted into the hotel property management system.
- To account for all rooms related rebates for the day.
- To ensure that all room discrepancies are checked and followed-up on
- Understand and demonstrate correct procedures regarding the acceptance of foreign currencies, credit cards and cash in accordance with the hotel credit policy
- Represent the Hotel Manager and other senior managers in their absence, taking full responsibility of the hotel
- Demonstrate current and up to date knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area
- To handle Character enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report Character complaints or problems to Management if no immediate solution can be found and assure follow up with Characters.
- To be demanding and critical when it comes to service standards.
- To ensure that the work place team projects a warm, professional and welcome image.
- To ensure a consistent guest recognition programs and a relevant guest database is maintained.
- To ensure that the work place is kept clean and organized.
- To report “Lost & Found” items, and handle them in accordance to the Policy & Procedures.
- To undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the Management
- To respond to any changes in the work place function as dictated by the hotel.
Experience and Technical Knowledge
ESSENTIAL
- Experience in hotel industry in same position
- Front Stage Operation certificate holder / Bachelor or Master Degree in a given field
DESIRABLE
- Previous guest relations experience in 5 star hospitality industry
- 2 years of experience in 5 star hotel as Night Manager
