This is a remote position.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Life Underwriter to join our Life Health Underwriting team. You will have the ability to deliver high-quality underwriting decisions while handling life applications submitted throughout all sales regions we does business. You will work independently but will be supported by a strong underwriting and medical team that is willing and eager to help ensure the department delivers remarkable service.

This position allows full-time remote work.

How does a Senior Life Underwriter make an impact?

  • Uses professionalism, tact and empathy when dealing with financial representatives, clients, medical personnel and department support when discussing a risk or facilitating the risk selection, issue and administrative process or obtaining underwriting information
  • Respects and maintains the privacy of a clients' personal information disclosed in the risk appraisal process.
  • Consults with leadership, medical directors, reinsurers, other underwriters, and corporate personnel as required.
  • May develop new and competitive underwriting guidelines.


Requirements

Do you have what we're looking for?

  • At least five years of life underwriting experience (individual life underwriting experience is preferred)
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Typically requires 4-7 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.
