Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Job Responsibilities:

• Helps residents by providing rehabilitative and skilled maintenance services to persons with mental, physical, psychosocial, or developmental impairments under the direction/supervision of a licensed occupational therapist and provide encouragement when necessary.
• Maintain expected productivity/efficiency set by the Director of Rehab
• Maintains patient occupational therapy records by recording resident’s progress and daily notes under federal, state, and insurance guidelines.
• Recording accurate billing information of occupational therapy services rendered.
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following company policy and procedures.
• Help keep therapy equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs as needed.
• Serves and protects occupational therapy practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
• Enhances occupational therapy practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Schedule: Full time

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Current Texas licensure as Occupational Therapy Assistant and NBCOT certification required.
• Current CPR certification preferred
• SNF experience preferred
• NetHealth EMR experience preferred
