Our client, a growing warehousing and distribution company that offers custom Warehousing Solutions to clients in the beverage industry is seeking a Fleet Operations Manager.

The individual in this role is responsible for leading a team of drivers to transport goods efficiently, as well as reporting to ;

This 3PL Warehouse has a trucking company and the duties include creating work schedules and transportation routes for drivers to pick up and deliver goods to the correct location and managing a budget for vehicle repairs and Additionally, you will be ensuring that driver candidates receive proper training to uphold safe driving It involves performing organizational and management tasks to monitor, maintain and improve the company s transportation

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Writing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and putting processes in place to ensure the fleet and drivers are in
  • Scheduling regular maintenance on all vehicles and keeping
  • Ordering urgent or emergency repairs as
  • Establishing efficient routes and transportation
  • Managing vehicle licensure and
  • Ensuring all fleet members have proper licensure and up to date
  • Monitoring Drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driving
  • Searching for, hiring and training new
  • Providing reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance, and fleet
  • Developing methods to decrease cost and improve
  • Monitoring driver behavior and ensuring a high level of customer service is
  • Utilizing GPS system to monitor and track delivery and driver
  • Experience or exposure to a TMS (transportation management system) or WMS (warehouse management system).

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5 years minimum of experience in
  • Analytical mindset, good problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making
  • Great written and verbal communication
  • Excellent leadership skills, including goal setting, motivation and
  • Expert knowledge of best driving, delivery, vehicle maintenance and other industry
  • Basic math and data analysis
  • Experience with transportation scheduling and management
  • Understanding of basic vehicle mechanics, including the ability to identify when major repairs are
  • Exceptional organization, time management and multitasking
