Crane Operator

• Be responsible for the entire loading/discharging operations to the assigned vessel and the operations are carried out safely.
• Responsible for safety during the operations and carrying out briefing/ toolbox talk prior and after completion of operations.
• Co-ordinating and liaising with the vessel and the loading supervisor for smooth operations.
• Ensure the crane is checked and tested prior operations, any defect are immediately reported.
• Ensure that the safety parameters of the crane are never exceeded.
• Ensure all gears used for cargo operations are in good condition and damaged ones are replaced.
• Ensure compliance with company and port HSE and operation regulations.
• Ensure that the routine maintenance of the crane is done regularly as per schedule.
• Ensure that prior operations, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly routines of the crane are carried out as per schedule.
• Ensure that the crane and operator's license are kept valid at all the times.
• Ensure that the crane always has adequate fuel prior operations.
• Ensure the crane documents, keys etc. are maintained is a secure and safe manner and be responsible for same.
• Hook on the crane only once it is assured that it is absolutely safe to do so.
• Any other duty as directed by the port supervisor or the operations manager.
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year experience in mobile crane operations
• Minimum 1 year experience in loading/discharging on ships in port .
• Able to understand basic English to give clear and concise verbal and/or written instruction.
• Holding UAE crane operator's License .
• Rigging and lifting certificate .
