This role entails managing the coordination of all pastry items for breakfast, lunch and dinner service according to product specifications. It also includes ordering, receiving, storage, preparation and presentation.
Responsibilities :
1. Communicate regularly with the Executive Pastry Chef to achieve an excellent rapport throughout the food production department and in developing new menu items
2. Prepare requisition of all items needed for the following day from the food storeroom, non-food storeroom and stewarding department
3. Managing inventory and keeping control of stock and daily high-volume ordering
4. Assist with the ordering of stock and checking the quality and quantity on receipt
5. Ensure an adequate supply of all products prepared on a timely basis
Qualification :
1. High school and culinary school training
2. 5-7 years? pastry experience
3. Working knowledge of baking techniques and the pastry-making process
