Job Description
Designing and developing mechanical systems, products, and components that meet customer requirements, safety standards, and cost-effectiveness goals.
Analyzing and evaluating existing mechanical systems and components to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
Conducting experiments and tests to validate mechanical designs and ensure that they meet performance and safety standards.
Creating detailed drawings and specifications for mechanical components and systems, including parts lists, assembly instructions, and performance requirements.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as electrical engineers, software engineers, and manufacturing engineers, to ensure that mechanical designs are compatible with other systems and processes.
Managing projects from concept to completion, including developing project plans, tracking progress, and reporting on project status.
Conducting research to stay current with advances in mechanical engineering and identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Providing technical guidance and support to other team members, including engineers, designers, and technicians.
Communicating with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements, and to ensure that mechanical designs meet their expectations.
- Ensuring that all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and regulations, and that all required documentation is complete and accurate.
