Job Description
- Creating detailed engineering design drawings and models of proposed projects based on client specifications
- Developing cost estimates for projects based on client specifications
- Preparing proposals for bids on new projects, including reviewing existing plans and researching potential challenges that could arise during construction
- Preparing bids on behalf of clients based on their specifications and requirements
- Reviewing bids from other companies to determine if they are competitive or if adjustments need to be made
- Performing engineering tasks such as developing designs, creating models, and conducting tests to ensure that designs meet specifications
- Communicating with clients to gather information about their needs and preferences regarding design solutions
- Conducting feasibility studies to evaluate whether a project is economically sound
- Developing construction schedules and budgets for each phase of a project
