Business Analyst

Job summary

We are looking for a Business Analyst who can understand business challenges, analyze, visualize, provide insights and recommendations to help decision making and influence process change to better the customer experience.

The business analyst will work in a fast paced and ambiguous business environment interacting with members from business, operation, and technology functions.

The ideal candidate is curious while working on projects that focus on identifying opportunities to enhance revenue, profitability while optimizing on costs and improving processes.

The candidate is an excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills and articulate using clear and timely communication

The candidate manages multiple small to medium sized projects, work with teams, and deliver as per timelines

The candidate works with existing data available in data lake, BI and other data sources from in-house and 3rd party applications. Retrieves and analyzes data using Excel, SQL and other data management systems. Monitors existent metrics, analyze data and partner to identify process and system improvement opportunities.

The candidate designs and implements reporting solutions to enable stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions.

The candidate thinks both strategically and tactically with strong attention to detail and proven ability to dive deep and turn data into insight.

The candidate demonstrates a track record of taking ownership and driving results

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field
  
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a business analyst/data analyst/data visualization role
  
• 3 to 5 years of experience conducting analysis and data mining
  
• Advanced working knowledge of Excel, SQL, DW and ETL
  
• Experience in data visualization platforms
  
• Strong analytical and coding skills, with 3+ years experience with Python (preferred) or R
  
• Excellent communication (verbal, written, and data presentation) and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast paced environment
  
• Experience leading small to medium sized projects.
  
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with ability to balance competing priorities.
