Database Specialist

• Create and support database systems for multiple sites using both Oracle and MSSQL databases.
• Managing Database workload on azure and oracle OCI
• Develop and maintain SQL programs, provide advice and assistance to application team for best practices in database implementation and SQL coding
• Monitor the performance of Database systems and address issues as they arise.
• Provide development and design assistance to development and other application support teams
• Worked with the security team to remove vulnerabilities on the database discovered during the security scans.
• Oversees capacity planning including CPU utilization and space management. Makes recommendations to improve processes
• Develop and improve procedures for monitoring and proactive intervention, preventing customer impact
• Works collaboratively with other teams including Project Managers, Developers, and Architects to ensure project success
• Follow release management, change management and quality assurance standards
• Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies.
