Analyst - Internal Information Security - UAE National
To contribute to the development, policies and guidance of information security at company to ensure that the Authoritys departments apply appropriate preventive measures and help deal with any incidents involving a security breach, while contributing to the Authoritys awareness of the implications of digital security threats.
Functional responsibilities
- Help develop and maintain information security programs, policies and guidelines within the company to ensure that all information is managed in a safe and confidential manner and protected from digital threats
- Support aligning efforts with the Authoritys internal IT function to anticipate potential security threats from rapidly evolving IT and digital system operations
- Contribute to the coordination of awareness and training sessions to ensure that the authoritys sectors are ready against potential digital security threats, by enhancing awareness and understanding of the potential implications of information breaches and IT vulnerabilities
- Support collaboration with risk response and business continuity within the Authority to ensure that risk mitigation plans and business continuity plans are comprehensive for information security when needed
- Assistance in the overall management of digital security incidents to which the Authority is exposed in coordination with the relevant authorities as needed and ensure that adequate prevention mechanisms are implemented to prevent future breaches
- Contribute to a periodic audit of information security at the level of the Authoritys systems in coordination with the relevant departments to identify or update the existing vulnerabilities and ensure that the preventive measures applied are effective
- Contribute to the adoption or development of solutions capable of preventing or reducing threats to digital security as needed by the Authoritys departments by keeping up with the latest information security threats, hacking methodologies, and security breaches exploitation information
- Perform any duties or career activities appointed by the direct manager
Institutional responsibilities
- Take responsibility in line with the Offices governance, policies and procedures
- Compliance with companys Quality Management Standards
- Preparing the required reports according to the requirement of reporting internally within the Authority and externally where applicable
- Find and identify new ideas and opportunities to adopt innovative solutions or methods to meet challenges or enhance activities based on functional requirements
- Identify and search for professional development opportunities to proactively improve the technical capabilities and skills related to the offices functional requirements
Requirements
Academic qualifications
- Bachelors degree in information security or related field
Professional experience
- Experience in information security, digital security or any relevant area so that at least:
- Years of experience for bachelors degree campaign: 0 to 2 years
