- Develop and implement creative retention strategies to engage students and support student success during their time at AIU.
- Hire peer tutors, and teaching assistants in coordination with VPAA.
- Prepare and approve timesheets for all tutors and teaching assistants.
- Provide training for all tutors and teaching assistants.
- Plan and provide small group and individualized tutoring.
- Maintain a working relationship with faculty to provide tutoring assistance to students.
- Plan, direct, and review the activities and operations of student tutoring and academic advising.
- Provide support accessibility to online courses.
- Maintain strong communication with tutors, faculty, and other departments regarding the Center programs and services.
- Identify, plan, market, advertise and execute a series of in-house presentations to provide information and training on the center services.
- Promote the services of the Student Success Center to the AIU community and share success stories.
- Proactively identify at-risk students and implement effective mentoring and advisory strategies.
- Articulate and supervise academic advisors and maintain student advising study plans.
