An AI-powered freight rate intelligence platform designed specifically for SME freight forwarders enabling faster smarter and more competitive pricing decisions are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Supply Chain Specialist with expertise in sea freight operations to manage end-to-end logistics documentation route planning and freight pricing.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of international shipping regulations freight forwarding processes and supply chain best practices to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of shipments. They are currently operating across the UAE India and Turkey and the platform is already receiving strong early market traction and positive customer feedback. Their solution simplifies freight rate discovery improves pricing accuracy and helps forwarders win more business with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end sea freight operations including import and export shipments.
- Prepare review and process shipping documentation such as Bills of Lading Commercial Invoices Packing Lists Certificates of Origin and Customs documentation.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders shipping lines customs brokers suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth shipment execution.
- Plan and optimize shipping routes to improve transit times and reduce logistics costs.
- Negotiate freight rates and obtain competitive pricing from carriers and logistics partners.
- Analyze freight costs monitor market trends and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Track shipments proactively and resolve delays documentation issues or operational challenges.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations customs requirements and company policies.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and prepare logistics performance reports.
- Collaborate with procurement warehouse sales and finance teams to support overall supply chain efficiency.
Required Skills & Competencies
- 510 years of relevant experience in supply chain logistics or freight forwarding with a strong focus on sea freight operations.
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration or a related field. Professional certifications in Supply Chain or Logistics are an advantage.
- Experience: 510 Years
- Strong knowledge of sea freight operations international shipping and Incoterms.
- Expertise in shipping documentation and customs compliance.
- Experience in route planning and freight optimization.
- Strong negotiation and pricing analysis skills.
- Excellent analytical organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems Microsoft Excel and logistics management software.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and work effectively under tight deadlines.
Required Skills:
5 years of hands-on experience in a supervisory supply chain position
Required Education:
Bachelors Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Degree
