Senior Engineer Plant and Machinery

The Senior Engineer for Plant & Machinery will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation maintenance and continuous improvement of plant machinery and equipment. This role requires a deep understanding of mechanical systems project management skills and the ability to lead teams in the troubleshooting repair and optimization of plant equipment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards of operational safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance & Operation:

   • Oversee the maintenance repair and troubleshooting of plant machinery and equipment.
   • Ensure optimal functioning and performance of all mechanical systems in the plant.
   • Develop implement and optimize preventive maintenance schedules for all critical machinery.
   • Perform root-cause analysis for recurring issues and provide recommendations for improvements.

2. Project Management:

   • Lead projects related to the installation upgrade or replacement of machinery and equipment.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations engineering procurement) for smooth project execution.
   • Develop project plans timelines budgets and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

3. Continuous Improvement:

   • Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machinery uptime reduce costs and improve overall plant efficiency.
   • Implement best practices in equipment reliability and performance management.
   • Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent downtime.

4. Compliance & Safety:

   • Ensure adherence to all plant safety regulations and maintenance procedures.
   • Ensure that all machinery operates within the prescribed safety and environmental standards.
   • Lead risk assessments audits and safety inspections related to plant machinery.

5. Team Leadership & Collaboration:

   • Lead train and mentor junior engineers and technicians to build a high-performing team.
   • Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages knowledge sharing and innovation.
   • Work closely with production and operations teams to align machinery capabilities with production goals.

6. Documentation & Reporting:

   • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities repairs and machine performance metrics.
   • Generate regular reports on machine downtime maintenance costs and key performance indicators (KPIs).
   • Ensure proper documentation of machinery manuals service histories and upgrades.
