General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

The Senior Closeout Engineer oversees and coordinates the final stages of a luxury residential project ensuring all required documentation is compiled compliance is met and the project is successfully handed over and closed out. They ensure all outstanding issues are resolved and that the project aligns with the original plan and contractual obligations.

Documentation:

• Collecting organizing and verifying all necessary closeout documentation including project records punch lists warranties as-builts and O&M manuals.

Coordination:

• Working with project teams contractors home owners client facility management and customer relation management teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of closeout tasks.

Problem-solving:

• Resolving any outstanding issues or deficiencies identified during the closeout and handover process.

Communication:

• Maintaining clear communication with stakeholders regarding project status and closeout activities.

Final Inspections:

• Coordinating and participating in final inspections including those required by local authorities.

Project Lessons Learned:

• Assisting in lessons learned sessions and contributing to process improvement for future handovers and projects.

Qualifications Experience Knowledge and Skills:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering (preferably Civil Mechanical Electrical or relevant discipline).
• Postgraduate qualifications (e.g. MSc in Project Management or Construction Management) are a plus.
• PMP or PMI certification preferred.
• Knowledge of local building codes and international standards (e.g. ISO ASME NEC etc.).
• Minimum 3-5 years in a similar role (Close-out/Turnover/Commissioning Engineer) within a PMC environment.
• Proven track record of successfully managing project close-out processes including Handover As-Built Documentation O&M Manuals Warranties and Final Account settlement.
