Our client is a progressive organization investing in innovation product development and continuous improvement as key drivers of its future growth. To support these objectives the company is seeking an experienced Research & Development Manager who can lead technical innovation while bringing new ideas from concept to commercialization.
The Role
The Research & Development Manager will lead the organizations research and development function overseeing innovation projects product development initiatives and technical research activities. Working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams the successful candidate will drive innovation while ensuring commercial viability and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the organizations research and development strategy.
- Lead new product development from concept through commercialization.
- Manage R&D budgets timelines and project portfolios.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and industry innovations.
- Coordinate cross-functional product development teams.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and technical standards.
- Lead product testing validation and performance evaluation.
- Manage intellectual property and innovation initiatives.
- Build relationships with suppliers research institutions and technical partners.
- Develop and mentor R&D professionals.
- Present innovation strategies and project updates to senior leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement across product development activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Food Science Chemistry Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- Masters degree is considered an advantage.
- 10 years of R&D experience including leadership responsibility.
- Proven experience managing innovation and product development projects.
- Strong project management and technical leadership capabilities.
- Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Fluency in English is required.
