Black & Grey HR is seeking a Planning Engineer to join our clients Project Controls team on a permanent basis in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for developing monitoring and updating project schedules to ensure timely project delivery while supporting the successful execution of offshore closely with Project Controls Project Managers Engineers and other stakeholders you will monitor project progress prepare schedule reports identify delays and risks and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on track.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using appropriate scheduling software.
- Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect actual project performance.
- Identify and report deviations from the baseline schedule and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Project Managers Engineers and other stakeholders to gather scheduling information.
- Facilitate communication between project teams to ensure alignment on project timelines and key milestones.
- Assist in resolving scheduling conflicts and project planning issues.
- Analyze project schedules to identify potential delays risks and opportunities for schedule improvement.
- Prepare and present schedule reports to management highlighting key issues progress and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and complete scheduling records and project documentation.
- Support the Project Controls Manager with planning scheduling and project reporting activities.
- Ensure project schedules are aligned with project objectives and contractual milestones.
- Provide timely scheduling information to support effective project decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- 45 years of experience as a Planning Engineer supporting Offshore or Oil & Gas projects is mandatory.
- Professional certification such as PMP or PMI-SP is an added advantage.
- Advanced knowledge of scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and scheduling best practices.
- Proficiency in project management tools and scheduling software.
- Ability to analyze complex project schedules and identify potential delays and risks.
- Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prepare accurate and timely schedule reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to present scheduling information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
