Job Description
We are Sisco Jobs a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Lab Technician in Abu Dhabi UAE. Our client is a reputed organization in the Construction / Precast Concrete sector seeking skilled and motivated professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory testing on concrete and precast materials.
- Conduct compressive strength and quality control tests.
- Prepare and maintain concrete mix samples for testing.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Record analyse and document laboratory test results.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate with production and quality teams.
- Report test findings accurately to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Concrete laboratory testing and analysis.
- Precast concrete quality control procedures.
- Laboratory equipment operation and maintenance.
- Concrete mix design and testing knowledge.
- Documentation and reporting of test results.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of ASTM/BS/EN testing standards.
- Experience in GCC construction projects.
- Computer proficiency for laboratory reporting.
Work Experience Requirements
Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a Concrete or Precast Laboratory as a Lab Technician. Experience in construction materials testing and quality assurance is essential.
Education
- Minimum: Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (typical)
- Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
- Additional: Material Testing or Quality Control certifications (typical)
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of construction materials MEP systems and fit-out specifications. Understanding of project execution strategies and procurement planning. Proficiency in ERP software for procurement tracking and reporting. Hands-on experience in managing LPO cycles (Open & Closed LPOs). Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word Excel). Excellent vendor negotiation and relationship management skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines. Effective communication skills in English and Hindi.
