SAMEA Regional Product Manager for Beverages

Join a global leader in Taste & Wellbeing and Fragrances & Beauty as a Regional Product Manager for the Beverages category! As a vital member of our Taste & Wellbeing Regional Innovation team you will focus on the dynamic SAMEA (South Asia Middle East and Africa) market from our Dubai office.

In this role you will be instrumental in driving the development and commercialization of innovative technologies and initiatives that align with our strategic goals. You will become the go-to expert for our Beverages product portfolio ensuring it remains competitive and relevant to our customers.

This position offers fantastic opportunities to collaborate with a diverse range of partners across our commercial organization including Science and Technology (S&T) Taste & Wellbeing Creation and Application Purchasing Sales and Marketing. You will report directly to the Head of Regional Innovation for SAMEA and play a crucial role within the Regional Innovation team.

In this exciting role you will:

Product and technology portfolio management

• Manage the regional product and technology portfolio to ensure relevance profitability and alignment with regional strategy.
• Serve as the regional subject matter expert for assigned products and technologies.
• Oversee the existing product portfolio identify non-performing products and recommend deletions as necessary.

Sales and Margin Support

• Collaborate with the pricing team to provide inputs for defining price levels contributing to the achievement of sales and gross margin targets.

Innovation Management

• Define innovation needs and manage the innovation pipeline for the Beverages segment in the region.
• Identify business development opportunities and assess innovation needs and gaps within the region.
• Gather and provide business justification and local market requirements (e.g. sales/profit projections regulatory requirements product performance expectations) for the identified innovation projects in partnership with the Science & Technology (S&T) Taste & Wellbeing Creation & Application team and the Marketing Managers.
• Work closely with Science & Technology Operations Regulatory and Supply Chain teams to resolve issues affecting product cost and supply.
• Provide inputs into the global product strategy led by the Global Product Managers.

Commercialization of Innovation

• Drive the commercialization of innovation by building a comprehensive commercialization plan in partnership with the Regional Category Manager.
• Develop customer-relevant value propositions that highlight the unique benefits of our product portfolio.
• Collaborate with local stakeholdersincluding Marketing Taste & Wellbeing Creation & Application Sales Regulatory Regional Technical and Pricing teamsto lead successful product launches and uncover customer opportunities.
• Support the technical team in preparing for the launch of new products and technologies by creating effective training materials and providing direct support.
• Ensure that new ingredients and regional versions of flavours are provided to all relevant markets with all the required information about the new products.
• Promote the product line both internally and externally articulating a clear value proposition.

Your professional profile includes:

• Bachelors degree in a Science field or Masters Degree
• 8 years of experience in managing product platforms for Beverages in the food or flavour industry.
• Technical or B2B marketing experience gained in an international environment.
• Solid understanding of marketing principles including the commercialisation of new products.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and cultures.
• Passion for innovation and experience in innovation management
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic and French is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel within the SAMEA (South Asia Middle East and Africa) region 15% of the time.
