Location
Summary/Objective
The Technician is mainly responsible for the execution of projects properly and on time. Most of the technicians time is spent in work fields/clients premises. This position reports to the Project Engineer and Technical Manager/Operations Manager
Tasks
1. Directly reports to the Project Engineer.
2. Handles delivery activities of contracts and sub contracts as per instructions and in accordance with company procedures.
3. Manages maintenance schedules and attends on-call support through telephone/online. 4. Provides documentations i.e inspection procedures delivery note and completion certificates.
5. Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors.
6. Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner.
7. Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
8. Identifies site requirements from tools and installation materials for each job order including estimating costs and timescales.
9. Understands Internet Intranet Extranet and client/server architectures.
10. Encourages technicians and subordinates to take responsibility for their development within the company.
11. Challenges fellow Innovators to progress toward their professional development goals. 12. Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
13. Prepares the project status and completion reports and addresses issues as appropriate.
14. Complies with standard policies and procedures.
Installation-related and Commissioning-related tasks
1. Conducts and leads site installation termination inspection testing and handover as per project plan and when requested by Project Engineer Project Manager and/or Operations Manager.
2. Supervises subcontractor on hardware installations and terminations.
3. Liaises with the Project Engineer in the design and execution plan.
4. Liaises with clients coordinators contractors and sub-contractors if/when needed.
5. Ensures safety standards are implemented and followed in accordance with company guidelines.
6. Follows Project Engineers instructions on installation activities and System Engineers instructions on commissioning activities to ensure all aspects of work are properly delivered.
7. Conducts site system hardware troubleshooting and repairs.
8. Prepares and provides Field service reports. 9. Liaises with the System Engineer in the commissioning plan

Requirements
LV Technician Requirements
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Electronics Telecommunications or a related field.
- Minimum 25 years of experience in ELV systems installation testing commissioning and maintenance.
- Experience in GCC/UAE projects is preferred.

- Installation termination testing and troubleshooting of:

- Access Control Systems (ACS)
- Intrusion Alarm Systems

- Structured Cabling (Copper & Fiber Optic)
- Public Address (PA) Systems

Knowledge:
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings ELV shop drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of cable routing containment systems cable tray installation and labeling standards.
- Experience with system testing commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ELV standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Install and terminate ELV systems according to project drawings.
- Perform testing and commissioning of ELV systems.
- Troubleshoot and rectify faults during installation and after handover.
- Coordinate with engineers and project managers.
- Ensure work complies with company standards and client requirements.
- Prepare daily work reports and progress updates.
- Follow all HSE and site safety requirements.
Preferred Certifications:
- UAE Driving License (Preferred)
- ECS / BICSI Certification (Preferred)
- Manufacturer Certifications (Lenel Milestone Genetec Hikvision Suprema etc.) are an advantage.
