The Construction Manager (MEP) is responsible for planning coordinating and managing all Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) ELV and Fire & Life Safety construction activities for large-scale industrial commercial logistics infrastructure and high-rise projects. The role ensures projects are delivered safely on schedule within budget and in compliance with contract specifications quality standards HSE requirements and local authority regulations. The Construction Manager leads multidisciplinary site teams coordinates with clients consultants subcontractors and authorities and drives construction excellence from mobilization through testing commissioning handover and project close-out.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution
Lead MEP construction activities in line with approved drawings specifications and project schedules.
Manage site engineers supervisors subcontractors and daily construction operations.
Monitor progress productivity and implement recovery plans where required.
Planning & Coordination
Coordinate with civil structural architectural and planning teams.
Attend client and consultant meetings and resolve technical issues.
Manage RFIs shop drawing coordination and interface activities.
Resource & Material Management
Plan manpower deployment and monitor labor productivity.
Coordinate procurement material approvals delivery and inventory.
Ensure availability of long-lead materials and construction equipment.
HSE & Quality
Ensure compliance with HSE regulations permit-to-work systems and project safety procedures.
Implement approved ITPs Method Statements inspections and QA/QC requirements.
Monitor NCRs MIRs WIRs corrective actions and audit compliance.
Testing & Handover
Coordinate testing commissioning authority inspections and system handover.
Ensure completion of snagging as-built drawings O&M manuals and close-out documentation.
Reporting & Leadership
Prepare daily weekly and monthly progress reports and KPI updates.
Maintain risk registers and project documentation.
Mentor project teams and maintain effective stakeholder communication.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
PMP certification is an advantage.
1215 years of MEP construction experience including at least 5 years as a Construction Manager.
UAE/GCC experience in industrial warehouse logistics commercial or infrastructure projects is preferred.
Required Skills:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience in MEP construction projects. Experience in industrial commercial warehouse infrastructure or large-scale building projects. Strong knowledge of international quality standards inspection procedures and construction specifications. Experience working with consultants clients and subcontractors in the UAE/GCC is preferred.
