Responsibilities:
• The Assistant Stewarding Manager assists the Chief Executive Steward with the direction of all aspects of the Stewarding Department including employee relations, recruitment and retention of staff, communication to staff, career development of staff, wage & hour compliance, training employees amongst others.
• Works quickly in high-pressure environment and ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
• Act as an objective 3rd party in employee counseling, problem solving or conflict situation and communicate to Chief Executive Steward any circumstances that may raise for the Stewarding Department or the hotel.
• Identify, analyze and initiate appropriate actions to resolve any unsatisfactory pattern of employee turnover.
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
