A leading healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its surgical services and is inviting applications from Consultant / Specialist General Surgeons to join its multidisciplinary team in Dubai. This role offers an opportunity for experienced surgeons to practice within a high-standard clinical setting while contributing to the continued development of surgical services in a rapidly evolving healthcare system.
Role Overview
Position: Consultant / Specialist General Surgeon
Location: Dubai United Arab Emirates
Hospital Type: Private / Government / Multispecialty / Tertiary Care (JCI-accredited)
Experience Required: Minimum 3 years post specialist / board certification
Practice Setting: Advanced surgical unit with modern operating theatres and multidisciplinary clinical teams
The successful candidate will join a collaborative clinical environment supported by experienced surgeons anesthesiologists nursing staff and critical care specialists.
Board Recognition & Eligibility
Applications are welcome from surgeons holding recognised specialist qualifications including:
American Board of Surgery
UK CCT / FRCS
European Board Certification
Royal College Certification (Canada)
Australian Fellowship
Arab Board
FCPS or equivalent recognised specialist qualification
Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for DHA / DOH license conversion (full guidance and support provided).
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient general surgery care
Perform elective and emergency surgical procedures including laparoscopic and open surgeries
Diagnose and manage a wide range of surgical conditions
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Participate in hospital clinical governance quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Contribute to the development and expansion of surgical services within the hospital
Maintain compliance with UAE healthcare regulations and hospital clinical protocols
