Whats the role
The Chartering Manager at PXGEO will lead the chartering activities identifying and securing marine assets needed for various projects. This role involves negotiating charters managing relationships with ship owners and ensuring that all chartering operations align with company strategies and compliance standards.
Key responsibilities include analyzing market trends developing chartering strategies and overseeing the execution of contracts. The Chartering Manager will also collaborate with internal departments to understand project requirements and provide support in fleet optimization and cost management.
Requirements
Who are we looking for
- Bachelors degree in Maritime Studies Business Administration or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in chartering or shipping operations preferably in the offshore or marine industry
- Strong knowledge of chartering regulations market dynamics and vessel types
- Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with ship owners and brokers
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus
