Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE) – Iconic Metro Station & Depot (Civil Engineer – Metro Rail)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE) with strong expertise in Iconic Metro Stations and Rail Depot works. The candidate must have hands on site supervision experience across civil structural and architectural scopesfrom foundation works to final finisheson large scale metro and depot projects within the UAE. The ARE will support the Resident Engineer in supervising all civil and architectural construction activities for iconic/architecturally complex metro stations as well as depot buildings and associated depot infrastructure. The role requires strong multidisciplinary coordination quality oversight and the ability to manage complex interfaces across station and depot environments

Your role

Civil & Architectural Supervision (Foundation to Finishing)

• Supervise foundation works including piling diaphragm walls raft foundations and ground improvement.
• Oversee substructure and superstructure works for station boxes concourses platforms and depot buildings.
• Monitor architectural finishing works: flooring cladding ceilings partitions façade systems and passengerfacing finishes.
• Ensure compliance with architectural design intent and metro authority standards.
• Support inspections approvals and quality documentation for civil/architectural materials and works.

Iconic Station Responsibilities

• Review and supervise complex geometries feature roofs freeform structures and architecturally significant station elements.
• Evaluate drawings technical details and finishes specific to iconic or signature station designs.
• Ensure proper sequencing and integration of civil architectural MEP and system works unique to stations with high architectural value.

Depot Experience

The ARE will also supervise and support construction activities within rail depot facilities including:

• Depot buildings such as stabling sheds maintenance workshops operations control centers (OCC) admin buildings and support facilities.
• Trackside infrastructure within the depot area including access roads drainage systems retaining structures and utility networks.
• Architectural and civil works for heavyduty industrial structures including pits inspection areas service bays and heavyload slabs.
• Interface coordination between depot civil works trackwork teams MEP installations and depot equipment suppliers.
• Oversight of depot finishing works ensuring compliance with industrial safety standards and metro operator requirements.
• Review of method statements shop drawings and material submittals specific to depot facilities.

About you

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture; Masters degree is a plus.
• 18 years experience with strong exposure to:
  • Iconic metro stations
  • Architecturally complex or specialdesign stations
  • Metro rail depots and associated depot infrastructure
  • Full lifecycle execution: foundation structural architectural finishings
  • UAE metro/rail projects (mandatory)
• Strong site supervision background across station and depot environments.
• Ability to navigate complex design interfaces and highaccuracy finishing requirements.
• Excellent coordination communication and problemsolving skills.
