Description
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Warehouse Assistant to join our team in the Hospital & Health Care industry. This role is vital in ensuring that all supplies and equipment are efficiently stored maintained and distributed within our healthcare facility.
Responsibilities
- Receive inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Organize and store medical supplies and equipment in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare and package orders for dispatch ensuring accuracy and compliance with handling protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse environment to meet health and safety standards.
- Assist with regular inventory counts and report discrepancies promptly.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely including forklifts and pallet jacks if certified.
- Coordinate with logistics and procurement teams to support timely supply chain operations.
- Adhere to all hospital and healthcare regulations concerning storage and handling of medical materials.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in warehouse operations is a plus.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory management role preferably within healthcare or a related industry.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items safely and follow workplace safety protocols.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work shifts as required by hospital operations.
