Job Purpose
- Work closely with Advanced Solutions Department Manager for the implementation of OTS Engineering& Digital Solutions. Responsible for group plans and strategies and aligning with company initiatives to optimize performance and to maximize customer satisfaction in areas of OTS solutions.
- Manage coordinate and control the manpower and OTS project work activities amongst Project Managers/Section Heads in the Middle East region.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Ability to identify the potential areas and benefits for applying OTS & Digitalization solutions for various process Units & facilities and specify the hardware/software architecture to carry out OTS solutions implementation.
- Carry out OTS project implementations starting from Control Definition Functional Design Specifications Detailed Engineering Modeling of OTS system MAT Site Integration and SAT
- Multiple project co-ordination and provision of technical and managerial support for the successful completion of large OTS & Digital Twin projects for various process units & facilities as well as the ability to lead a team of OTS & Digital consultants.
- Responsible for the engineering activities of Operator Training System (OTS) to provide value-added engineering solutions to OTS team members.
- Ensure successful completion of design; achieve desired quality to meet all design review and internal audit requirements for successful implementation of OTS Project.
- Manage project schedules to meet delivery timelines Delivery of model sections for integration.
- Working to specification for model areas.
- Identify technical issues and obtain clarification.
- Participate in OTS & DT project validation and witness testing across UAE regions.
- Build and strengthen the OTS Engineering Group to support fast growth in the Middle East region by providing value-added technical support to customers and internal customer & Team.
- Report to Department Manager-Advanced Solutions Centre Department Head.
Qualification and Experience
- A Bachelors degree in chemical engineering. Masters degree is preferable.
- At least 20 years experience in OTS solutions implementations or direct operating company experience; with minimum 15 year of Hands-on experience for commissioning OTS solutions in Refining Petrochemical and Polymer process units
- Additional work experience in similar technologies such as APC planning and scheduling and refinery analytics is preferable.
- Moderate Travel across the Middle East region is required.

- Proven ability to deliver a compelling value-based message to the Customers Management in OTS application domain.
- Exposure to different Simulation Software used such as Shadowplant HYSYS Dynamism Aspen plus Pro II.
- Good understanding of process plant operation and maintenance.
- Proven track record of field experience and technical skills
- Have the spirit to work with others and building team works.
- System Design Engineering analysis and techniques Preparation of Project documentation Report progress to Department Manager.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good leadership skills

Essential
- Experience in modeling and implementing high fidelity training simulators in industrial process units (oil & gas petrochemical etc.)
- Knowledge of working on DCS /ESD platforms.
- Understand the principles of projects risk management and sound judgment on technical and commercial matters.
