- Demonstrates leadership and commitment to Health Safety Environment and Quality (HSEQ). Actively encourages and leads the HZI and Contractor teams to implement and comply with project HSEQ requirements
- Ensures relevant HSEQ requirements are incorporated into area of responsibility and that in consultation with site management HSE hazards are eliminated or mitigated to the extent practicable
- Ensures risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are reviewed with regards to HSE requirements and that work is carried out in accordance with the RAMS
- Is responsible for the safety and HSE performance of all personnel under their control and for stopping work where this might be compromised
- Manages and implements processes and tools within area of responsibility
- Ensures that works within area of responsibility are executed in accordance with the contract and conform with project time budget and HSEQ requirements
- Manages reporting site supervision and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of relevant scope in the required quality and in a safe working ambient
- Takes full ownership of Civil operations in the delegated Area / Section Keeps records of all construction activities
- Ensures proper look ahead regarding design and other relevant drivers and interface with Contract Manager Civil on commercial issues to ensure proper transparency on site execution matters
- Elaborates and if necessary revises the Civil Specialized Structure Schedules
- Determines Civil QC Inspection Process
- Reports on Execution Progress and periodic reports to the Construction Manager Civil
- Holds execution meetings (Kick-off weekly monthly internal and external)
- Delivers Lessons Learned and feedback for current and future projects
- Keeps the Site Manager informed of all site related activities
Qualifications :
- University degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Previous experience as Supervisor (EPC or Subcontractor Civil Company) in the Power generation/ heavy / industrial civil business
- Good capabilities in the explanation of complex technical and working processes
- Knowledge of relevant HSEQ legal and Management System requirements
- Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or equivalent
- Valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC) Safepass (ROI) CSCS or CCNSG card or equivalent
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite applications
