This is a prestigious opportunity for a professionally trained culinary expert with a strong background in either Western or Middle Eastern cuisine offering the chance to work in a high-end international environment.
Purpose of the Position:
The ideal candidate will be a qualified speciality chef with a deep passion for food and a mastery of the culinary arts. They should possess a broad knowledge of international cuisines and stay ahead of culinary trends continuously aiming to exceed expectations and deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Qualifications / Certification / Licences:
4-year culinary degree or equivalent formal culinary training mandatory
Level 3 Food Hygiene & Safety (Supervisors)
Level 2 Allergy Awareness
Level 2 HACCP
Safe Chemical Handling certification
Experience Required:
Previous private chef experience in a VVIP household preferred
Experience in a 5* hotel high-end restaurant Michelin-starred establishment or private residence mandatory
International living and working experience mandatory
Experience working in culinary teams of more than six chefs
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Proven career progression demonstrating formal training and consistent growth within the culinary profession
Key Skills / Knowledge:
Broad-based knowledge of a wide variety of cuisines specialising in either Western or Middle Eastern cooking
In-depth understanding of cooking principles and culinary philosophies
Strong creativity and exceptional food presentation skills
Ability to ensure high standards by checking the quality of raw and cooked food products
Advanced HACCP certification and compliance
Introduction and presentation of new trial dishes
Inspection of supplies equipment and work areas for compliance with standards
Advanced food presentation techniques and decorative displays for functions
Record keeping including recipe books guest preferences and operational data
Advanced menu planning in collaboration with fellow chefs considering seasonal ingredients
Ability to articulate dishes and ingredients clearly to F&B service staff
Training and mentoring of junior chefs in new techniques and recipes
Coordination of kitchen equipment purchases or repairs
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
