- Awarded good years of experience in technical degree in science or engineering.
- Trained in leadership and project execution. Will be actively licensed with a local engineering governing body where required by law
- Training in risk management or quality.
- Relevant discipline experience.
- Has a strong background in discipline work and a competent understanding of regulations codes manufacturing standards and industry standard practices.
- Skilled in estimating project costs and writing proposal content.
- Experience working in project leadership.
- Specialized expertise in one or more areas of regulations codes manufacturing standards and industry standard practices

Supervision Received

Supervision Authority
Typically up to 4direct reports consisting of less senior engineers and designers within the same discipline but could include total team size much greater than this with supporting coordination. May have authority for performance evaluations impacting pay.

Systems & Tools
- Competent in Microsoft Outlook Word Excel and Teams. Can navigate intranet pages
- conduct searches and retrieve information.

- Competent in Microsoft Access and PowerPoint. Able to touch type.
- Proficient in specialty engineering or design tools analytics and modeling and crossdiscipline data centric methods.

Business Operations
Supports the business by communicating team resource loading and skill requirements to a direct supervisor or the Discipline Manager. Ensures the project work is covered for vacation and unplanned absences. Mentors/trains and supports the delivery of training. Assists in the employee performance review process. Technical Competency
- Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to HSE management and its associated requirements in a project environment.
- Expert knowledge in design & selection of Rotating equipment for offshore and onshore oil & gas projects of comparable complexity and value is essential.
- Good understanding and previous experience of Gas Dehydration Unit (GDU and Polymerisation units EDC VCM PVC etc is essential
- Experience in study work cost estimation and assessment of existing equipment for new process duties is essential.
- Experience in CONCEPT / SELECT / DEFINE phase activities Detailed Design and EPC phase procurement of equipment and management of third parties is preferred.
- Experience with Consultant or owner or Project Management Consultant (PMC) organization in the execution of similar projects is preferable.
- Participation in projects in Middle East is preferred ADNOC experience is preferred.
- Expert knowledge in pressure vessel design code ASME VIII and manufacture requirements such as PWHT requirements NDE requirements material of construction nozzle details nozzle loads code of construction fireproofing requirement painting insulation wind loads seismic loads equipment interface thickness analysis and other assessments.
- Manage the development of equipment specifications for static equipment such as tanks pressure vessels heat exchangers Air fin coolers and other process packages etc.
- Must have an advanced understanding of their controls power supply utility requirements environmental regulation requirements.
- Advanced understanding of metallurgy specifications in accordance with process requirements and manage the development of Mechanical Datasheets. Complete checking and reviewing of deliverables to ensure their quality. Ensure compliance to company procedures and processes and support technical peer reviews.
- Is able to complete equipment selection studies for new equipment and adequacy studies of existing equipment with modified process parameters.
- Conduct document checking and design verification tasks for compliance to company and project specifications
- Conduct interdisciplinary coordination activities.
- Demonstrate capability to actively engage in client workshops covering design review HAZID HAZOP constructability sustanability reliability quality reviews etc.
- Has experience in discipline Basis of Design development and equipment selection philosophy.
- Should have knowledge of other international codes and standards statutory and regulatory requirements and a good understanding of onshore / offshore engineering practices applicable to mechanical static equipment engineering design for oil and gas / refinery / petrochemical facilities. Familiarity with ADNOC Standards and procedures would be an advantage.
- Extensive knowledge of procurement support and package management for equipment purchase. The candidate shall demonstrate knowledge in typical engagement covering manufacturer ITP subsupplier order material certification welding NDE and testing procedures manufacture hold points stage payment FAT and inspection release.
- Previous experience and competence in completing site visit to client site information gathering and lision with client representative
Project Execution
May participate in project execution strategy and planning. Knows the project and discipline scope/cost/time requirements assists the team to meet expectations and coordinates with other disciplines to ensure project success. Implements innovative solutions technology advances and methods to effectively deal with working out of sequence. Supports management of project change and progressing for the discipline and works with the Project Management Team to take corrective actions regarding any issues staffing requirements scope changes progressing or other events that could affect project completion and/or discipline quality monitors quality activities drives and participates in squad checking recommends improvements and takes action where required.
Project Deliverables
Gathers data from multiple sources and prepares engineering studies analyses calculations etc. Crafts recommendations and creates final documentation. Determines technical issues defines alternate solutions establishes pros/cons for multiple solutions and makes recommendations through official project documents such as technical queries technical deviations etc. Creates final documentation incorporating all relevant information and pursues customer approval. May review similar documentation to assist others and reviews/authorizes work done by direct reports.
Procurement Support
Incorporates information from multiple sources into equipment/material specifications data sheets testing requirements and material requisitions. Participates in bid clarifications conducts bid evaluations completes interdiscipline vendor information review and approval and finalizes other certification activities. Reviews similar documentation to assist others and reviews/authorizes work done by direct reports.
Site Support
Seeks input from knowledgeable sources participates in constructability operability and maintainability reviews and ensures that requirements areincorporated into engineering/design. Works with site personnel to resolve issues. May create plans or documents that supports construction testing commissioning operations maintenance or decommissioning. May provide or lead onsite support for construction commissioning or turn over.
