Team Leader AVP SME Loans

About the Role:

Yubiloans MENA is seeking a dynamic and strategic Team Leader AVP to lead the SME Loans Segment. This role is central to driving the growth of our SME marketplace by acquiring corporate borrowers and successfully onboarding them onto our platform. As the Team Leader you will manage a team responsible for identifying engaging and facilitating the onboarding of SME borrowers ensuring they can connect with the right lenders through our marketplace.

You will be at the forefront of shaping the acquisition strategy ensuring the smooth onboarding of borrowers and building strong relationships with potential clients. This role requires a leader with a deep understanding of the SME lending landscape excellent team management skills and the ability to drive marketplace growth through strategic partnerships and efficient processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of SME loan acquisition specialists and onboarding managers ensuring they meet loan origination targets and contribute to the growth of Yubiloans SME borrower base across all SME loan variants including business loans POS loans asset backed loans commercial vehicle and fleet finance working capital loans loan against property and capex loans.

  • Performance Management: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for your team tracking progress and providing coaching to improve team performance and overall contribution to business goals.

  • Coaching & Development: Develop a highperformance culture providing ongoing training and development to enhance the skill sets of your team members.

Borrower Acquisition & Onboarding:

  • Market Development: Drive efforts to identify and target potential SME and corporate borrowers across the MENA region focusing on those who would benefit from connecting with lenders through the Yubiloans marketplace.

  • Client Engagement: Establish relationships with potential borrowers understand their financing needs and position Yubiloans as the optimal solution for connecting them with the right lending partners.

  • Onboarding Process: Oversee the seamless onboarding of borrowers onto the Yubiloans platform ensuring they are fully equipped to access financing options that best meet their needs.

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to acquire a diverse set of borrowers balancing volume with quality to maximize the overall growth and health of the marketplace.

Partnership & Relationship Management:

  • Lender Network Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Yubiloans lender partners to understand their requirements and ensure the borrowers you onboard are wellmatched with appropriate lenders.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients industry associations and other stakeholders to attract new borrowers to the platform.

  • Customer Service Excellence: Ensure a highquality onboarding experience for borrowers guiding them through the platform and answering questions to ensure smooth adoption.

Operational Excellence:

  • Process Optimization: Work closely with operations product and technology teams to refine continuously and streamline the borrower onboarding process for greater efficiency and scalability.

  • Market Insights & Trends: Keep abreast of market trends competitor activities and regulatory changes in the SME lending space to refine acquisition strategies and ensure compliance.

  • DataDriven Decisions: Utilize data and performance metrics to inform strategies and track the effectiveness of borrower acquisition and onboarding efforts. Identify opportunities for process improvements.

Client and Stakeholder Interaction:

  • Client Consultation: Provide advisory support to borrowers helping them understand the benefits of connecting with the right lenders through Yubiloans and ensuring they are informed and confident throughout the onboarding journey.

  • CrossSell & Upsell Opportunities: Identify opportunities to crosssell or upsell additional services or products to existing borrowers enhancing their experience on the platform and increasing lifetime value.

CrossFunctional Collaboration:

  • Internal Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams such as product legal compliance marketing and technology to ensure the smooth onboarding of borrowers and continuous improvements to the platform s functionality and user experience.

  • Market Insights: Provide feedback to the product and marketing teams to ensure that the platform features and promotional strategies align with market demands and borrower needs.

Key Performance Metrics:

  • Borrower Acquisition: Achieve new borrower onboarding targets ensuring a diverse and highquality pool of SME and Corporate borrowers on the platform.

  • Onboarding Success: Monitor and optimize the borrower onboarding process ensuring timely and efficient onboarding experiences.

  • Team Performance: Drive team performance ensuring KPIs related to borrower engagement conversion rates and platform adoption are met.

  • Lender Match Success: Ensure borrowers are successfully matched with the right lenders contributing to successful loan transactions on the platform.

  • Customer Satisfaction: Track borrower satisfaction and retention ensuring a highquality experience throughout the onboarding process.




Requirements

Requirements:

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience: 812 years of experience in the SME lending fintech or financial services sectors with at least 35 years in a team management role focused on borrower acquisition onboarding or relationship management.

  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire highperforming teams with strong people management and coaching skills.

  • Business Development: Experience in driving business development within the SME lending space with a focus on building relationships with borrowers and lenders.

  • Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the SME lending landscape in the MENA region including the needs of corporate borrowers and the dynamics of lending marketplaces.

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor s degree in business finance economics or a related field. An MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualifications are a plus.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans to grow borrower acquisition and platform adoption.

  • ClientCentric: A customerfirst mindset with the ability to build trust and strong relationships with SME borrowers and lender partners.

  • ProblemSolving: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to address borrower challenges and optimize the onboarding experience.

  • Technologically Savvy: Familiarity with digital lending platforms SaaS solutions and marketplace models. Comfort with using data and technology to drive decisionmaking.
