About the Role
This is a hands on role which involves operation of our 100 tons travel lift to haul vessels up to 35m. Your role will include water blasting of vessels hulls after hauling moving vessels around the yard with either the travel lift or forklift as well as awareness of using boom lift. Overseas daily operation and maintenance of lifts and maintain equipment performing daily maintenance checks and recording results.
Major Activities
Overseas operation of lifts on a daily basis.
Performs daily checks at the director on the workshop supervisor. Ensures all lifts are closed down correctly at the end of each shift. Reviews maintenance logs daily for scheduled maintenance and completes as needed.
Daily cleaning and maintaining of lifts ship lift bay and ramp.
Other duties as igned by supervisor which could be directly related or unrelated to original position.
Requirements
Qualification and Experience
Boat yard / Marine travel lift experience is preferred.
Valid Driving License will be required to drive company vehicles. Boating knowledge operation of heavy machinery or forklift ss would be an advantage.
Experience loading and unloading trucks.
Candidates must demonstrate personal commitment to incident and injury free. Operations with a proven track record in safety and reliability.
Must be available for support on weekends/holidays as the need arises. Ability to follow instructions.
