Key Responsibilities:
- General Accounting:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.
- Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable:
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances.
- Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ledger Maintenance:
- Update financial data in databases to ensure accuracy and availability.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Audit Support:
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Prepare audit schedules and provide documentation as requested.
- Bank Reconciliation:
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Expense Tracking:
- Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies.
- Track and report on expenses, ensuring adherence to budgets.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Some experience in accounting or finance roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Internship experience in accounting is beneficial.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Organizational Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Work Environment:
- This position is typically based in an office setting, with a standard 40-hour work week. Occasional overtime may be required.
