Job Title: SEO/SMO Specialist

Overview:

As an SEO/SMO Specialist youll be responsible for enhancing the online visibility of our organisation by implementing effective search engine optimisation (SEO) and social media optimisation (SMO) strategies. Your role involves analyzing website performance conducting keyword research and optimizing content to improve search engine rankings. Additionally youll manage social media platforms to increase brand awareness engagement and website traffic.

Key Responsibilities:

• SEO Strategy Development:

Develop and execute SEO strategies to improve website visibility and organic traffic.Conduct keyword research to identify highvalue keywords and phrases relevant to our target audience. Analyse website performance using SEO tools and make datadriven recommendations for optimisation.

• OnPage Optimisation:

Optimise website content meta tags and other onpage elements to improve search engine rankings.Ensure website structure and navigation are search enginefriendly.Collaborate with content creators to produce SEOfriendly content.

• OffPage Optimisation:

Build highquality back links through outreach content partnerships and other linkbuilding techniques.Monitor and analyse back link profiles to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Technical SEO:

Conduct website audits to identify technical issues affecting SEO performance.Collaborate with web developers to implement technical SEO fixes such as site speed optimisation and schema markup.

• Social Media Optimisation (SMO):

Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand visibility and engagement.Create and optimise social media profiles on platforms like Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Instagram etc.Monitor social media trends and incorporate them into content strategies.

• Content Marketing:

Collaborate with content creators to develop SEOoptimized content including blog posts articles and multimedia assets.Ensure content is distributed effectively across social media platforms to maximize reach and engagement.

• Performance Tracking and Reporting:

Monitor website and social media analytics to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as organic traffic keyword rankings and social media engagement.Prepare regular reports on SEO/SMO performance and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an SEO/SMO Specialist or similar role.
• Indepth knowledge of SEO and SMO best practices tools and techniques.
• Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics Google Search Console SEMrush Moz etc.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Uptodate with the latest trends and best practices in SEO SMO and digital marketing.
• Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications or a related field (preferred).

Additional Skills (Preferred):

• Experience with paid search (PPC) campaigns.
• Knowledge of HTML CSS and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress etc.
• Certifications in Google Analytics Google Ads or other relevant areas.
• Experience with ecommerce SEO strategies.

Work Environment:

You will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment collaborating with crossfunctional teams including marketing content and web development. This role may require occasional evening or weekend work to monitor campaigns or address urgent issues.
