Logistics Director

Approach People is recruiting for one of its prestigious clients a leading global company recognized for its innovation and excellence in their industry. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Director to join their dynamic team in Dubai.

Job Description:

As a Logistics Director you will oversee the entire logistics function ensuring the efficient and costeffective management of the supply chain. You will be responsible for planning coordinating and monitoring logistics operations from procurement to distribution and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize the supply chain.
Manage and oversee the logistics team including hiring training and performance management.
Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
Analyze and improve logistical processes and systems to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers manufacturers and logistics providers.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems and processes.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of logistics operations.
Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports on logistics activities.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.

Profile Sought:

Proven experience (at least 10 years) in logistics management with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Strong knowledge of logistics supply chain management and transportation.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fastpaced environment.
Proficiency in logistics software and tools.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and logistics providers.
Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
