As a Billing Assistant you will be responsible for handling various billing tasks and ensuring accuracy in the billing process. Your main responsibilities will include generating invoices reconciling accounts and communicating with clients to resolve any billing discrepancies.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills a strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to grow and advance their career in finance and accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate and process invoices for clients accurately and in a timely manner
Assist in maintaining accurate records and reconciling accounts
Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies or issues raised by clients
Update and maintain client billing information in our database
Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper billing and collection procedures are followed
Communicate with clients and provide exceptional customer service to answer billingrelated inquiries and resolve any concerns
Monitor and follow up on outstanding balances and ensure timely payments
Prepare and distribute monthly reports on billing activities
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements and efficiencies
High school diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field is a plus
12 years of experience in billing or accounting preferably in a professional services or finance industry
Strong knowledge of billing software and financial systems
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
Detailoriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and friendly demeanor
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
Familiarity with billing laws and regulations is a plus
Proven track record of providing outstanding customer service
Strong problemsolving skills and ability to resolve conflicts effectively
