Cyber Security Engineer

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and protocols to safeguard company data and systems
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk assessments to identify potential threats
• Monitor and analyze network traffic to detect and respond to potential security breaches
• Deploy and maintain security systems such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus software
• Respond to security incidents, investigate and remediate any issues in a timely manner
• Stay updated on the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies
• Provide technical advice and guidance to other team members on security best practices and processes
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure security protocols are properly integrated into existing systems
• Conduct training and awareness sessions for employees on safe computing practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH
• Minimum of 3 years experience in cybersecurity
• Solid understanding of network and security protocols, firewalls, and encryption methods
• Knowledge of common operating systems, databases, and web applications
• Experience with security assessment tools such as vulnerability scanners, network analyzers, and penetration testing tools
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
