Job Description

- Installing and maintaining lighting, sound, and stage effects equipment for live performances
- Updating musical scores to reflect changes in style or technology over time
- Working with stagehands to build sets for a new production
- Coordinating with directors to ensure that all technical elements of a performance meet the director’s vision
- Repairing broken equipment or replacing components that have become outdated
- Maintaining inventory of equipment used in productions, including props, costumes, and set pieces
- Setting up and dismantling stages, scenery, and other elements used in plays or musical productions
- Operating complex technical equipment such as light boards or sound boards during performances
- Monitoring audience members for inappropriate behavior or intoxication
