- At this level, incumbents are fully knowledgeable in data processing equipment operation, monitoring network devices, and performing daily system activities.
- Using technical manuals and documentation procedures, incumbents work independently to identify hardware, software, and network problems and perform routine recovery. Often the first point of contact to the client community for issues related to computer room equipment, network connections, frame relay service, digital and analog circuits, and router problems. Incumbents may have formal or informal supervisory responsibility for a small staff of other system operators.
