Requirements

We require a confident client relationship developer with strong Commercial Insurance knowledge across a broad mix of SME / Large Corporate Scale risks.

Key Skills for this position:

Rapport builder with excellent communication and negotiation skills

Previous Commercial Insurance experience

Good Commercial Knowledge (SME and/or Corporate risks)

An eye for detail with strong market and product knowledge

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Confident long-term relationship developer with both clients and insurance companies

Knowledge and inputting risk information onto industry IT systems such as Acturis

Risk and Report preparation

Fleet analysis and marketing

SME quote systems

This position requires someone already with experience working as a Commercial Account Handler - ideally handling large commercial accounts.

Areas of Responsibility of this Senior Commercial Account Handler role include:

Placing multi-class programmes of insurance for a portfolio clients

Ensuring the adequacy and appropriateness of cover

Checking the accuracy of policy documentation

Resolving client enquiries in a friendly, professional, and timely manner

Providing effective day to day management of the client relationship

Undertaking renewal broking exercises

Updating risk information

Negotiating with insurers

Liaising with the Account Executive

Developing and maintaining strong client and insurer relationships

Providing technical expertise across a broad range of commercial insurance business

Occasional client visits in support of the Account Executive

Be an effective team player and support all people around you within the business
