- Under general supervision, assembles, tests, and installs expandable liner hangers (ELH) and service tool on job sites.
-Sometimes performs as a one-man waitstaff. Routinely works on more than one type of well sites (deepwater, lift, and remote worksite experience) as assigned by the Service Coordinator.
– Routinely works on more than one type of well sites as determined by the Service Coordinator.
– Coordinates and supervises service tool functions (e.g. ELH running tools, flotation equipment, cement heads, DSS, etc.) at the well site.
- May assist in training service operators in areas of expertise. Tools will be monitored and necessary calculations performed to ensure data/function quality.
– Consult with customers regarding services and products, promote good customer relations at the well site, and ensure customer satisfaction with results.
– Properly maintains assigned equipment and monitors compliance with regulations and safety procedures.
– Functional tasks, properly performed, indirectly affect cost containment, efficiency, profitability, or operations.
The consequences of a mistake can be easily measured and can be quantified. Skills typically acquired through completion of a high school diploma or equivalent education and at least two years of experience as a Service Specialist - ELH, I.
– Basic knowledge of the basics of well construction is required. Familiar with HMS operations and service tool/ELH operation maintenance manuals required.
– Must be able to visually identify various ELH instrument components by type and size and explain the function of each.
– Must have demonstrated ability to work safely with hand tools.
– Must have met the minimum competency requirements for Service Specialist I – ELH.
– Must follow all HSE best practices, be able to complete a Job Safety Analysis (JSA) on assigned tasks and demonstrate safety in lifting.
– Must be able to explain the function of packing documents.
– Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division is required.
– Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
– Basic computer skills are required.
