Job Title: Medical Retina Specialist

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana


Medical Retina - Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Retina Specialist to join our team in New Orleans. As a Medical Retina Specialist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with conditions that affect the retina, such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal detachment.


Medical Retina - Benefits:

  • Salary: 325K 400K w/ production bonus (negotiable based on experience)

Medical Retina - Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive medical and ophthalmic evaluations of patients to determine their retinal health status
  • Diagnose and treat patients with conditions that affect the retina, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal detachment
  • Keep up-to-date with new developments and research in the field of medical retina and participate in continuing education and professional development activities
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records and communicate effectively with patients and their families about their diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care


Medical Retina - Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution
  • Board certification or eligibility in ophthalmology and subspecialty training in medical retina
  • Valid or open to obtaining medical license to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana
  • Excellent clinical skills, including the ability to perform in office retinal procedures including pneumatic retinopexy, intravitreal injections and laser photocoagulation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and staying current with advances in the field of medical retina
