Key Accountabilities

  • Provide process and technical support for studies effectively to achieve the accomplishment of the study’s defined objectives.
  • Coordinate and deliver a comprehensive range of technical support for all assigned studies in order to accomplish the timely completion of the studies, within approved budgets, while meeting the Company’s quality, technical and HSE standards.
  • Participate, assist and support in developing in-house feasibility studies.
  • Develop process design, process simulation and process optimization using of major process simulation programs.
  • Prepare scope of work and services for conceptual studies and coordinate with counterparts in respective departments of company and/or ADNOC to incorporate input, comments and requirements in studies.
  • Participate and contribute in the selection process of engineering firm for the development of conceptual studies, this include reviewing consultant / engineering capabilities, experience and schedule, in addition contribution / participation in technical clarification.
  • Contribute and evaluate with the consultant in selecting best concepts and technologies for further development/studies.

Technical Advice

  • Review the conceptual study deliverables prepared by consultant; advice, comment and provide technical inputs related to process engineering.
  • Produce clear and concise reports and presentation with well-reasoned recommendations.
  • Provide technical contribution to studies, in order to assess the validity and soundness of Technical proposals and guide Consultants on Process and other Technical considerations.

Value Assurance

  • Contribute to value assurance checks and reviews to enhance the value and quality of the process and technology under consideration
  • Collate and maintain all lessons learnt from previous Business Development studies in order to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Provide support in implementation of continuous improvement of management systems in PS

Supervision

  • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
  • Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.

Budgets

  • Provide input for preparation of the functional budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
  • Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

  • Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section’s / Department work programs in line with Company and International standards.

Performance Management

  • Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the function in line with the Company Performance framework.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
  • Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best Industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

  • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.

Reports

  • Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering such as Chemical or Mechanical or equivalent Professional Qualification.
  • At least 8 years of experience, including at least experience in Engineering in a large oil/gas sector.
  • Good Knowledge of gas processing plant operations, production, engineering principles and project management including development of processes and monitoring programs
  • Good Knowledge of Sour Gas processing and Sulphur handling
  • Good knowledge of NGL Recovery process and NGL fractionation.
  • Knowledge of Gas Transportation and Gas/Condensate Pipeline engineering
  • Knowledge of material, corrosion, piping and machinery basics/principles
  • Knowledge of statistical process controls methods and application
  • Knowledge of HSE principles their application relevant to Oil & Gas industry
  • Analytical/quantitative approach to problem solving; knows how to obtain, transform, use data
  • Experience of leading multi-discipline feasibility and conceptual study teams
  • Broad working knowledge of facilities engineering, cost estimation and project economics
