- Creating and maintaining relationships with Consultants/Contractors and serve as the singular point of contact within CPD for matters concerning contracts
- Acting as subject matter expert on contract management within engineering & construction sectors
- Assisting project managers to better utilize contracts with supply chain to protect ADDC’s interests and improve performance outcomes
- Identifying, proposing, and gaining wider ADDC support for improvements in contract terms and conditions that attract good suppliers whilst improving ADDC’s position in line with best practices
- Promoting and facilitating improved relationships between CPD and its suppliers while ensuring that ADDC gets the best value and efficiencies from its supply chain
- Maintaining records for correspondence and documentation in relation to established contracts and those in progress
- Communicating to senior management all contract related issues and threats and recommend best courses of action
- Monitoring contracts and supporting project managers with timely close-out, extension or renewal according to what’s best for the company
- Supporting project managers with Consultants / Contractors interface to tackle and solve any contract-related problems that may arise
- Regularly interfacing and collaborating with Supply Department (procurement team) and Legal Department on behalf of CPD and project managers
- Maintaining a good working relationship across all directorates within ADDC, and parent company TAQA, and its other Operating Companies: TRANSCO and Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC)
- Seeking opportunities to improve procurement strategies, contracting practices, and relationships with supply chain
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited university, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in Contract Management within engineering and construction
- Knowledgeable of local contracting laws and acceptable practices
