Job Description

  • Perform daily routine accounting activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and financial closing and consolidation.
  • Manage asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Summarize and prepare financial status and transactions reports, including a profit and loss statement, and other necessary reports.
  • Support the creation of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manuals for accounting policy and regulations and roll out reconciliation procedures.
  • Maintain and balance accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain general ledger by transferring accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
  • Assist External Auditors by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
  • Assist with completion of the quarterly and annual regulatory filings; preparation of assigned Quarterly and Annual Statutory Statement schedules.
  • Prepare paperwork on cost reimbursements and other billings for processing. Develop and maintain supporting worksheets.
  • Post the necessary journal entry in ERP, prepare trial balance monthly, follow up for statements and cheques collection.
  • Give recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets and/or expenditures and provide interpretation of results as appropriate.
  • Involved in the periodic Inventory and Asset count and assist in the reconciliations and submitting the variance report.
  • Prepare the cost sheet for services and coordinate to get approval and implement.
  • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, and procedures to carry out in a controlled and consistent manner while delivering a world-class service.
  • Assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by Management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree Accounting, Finance, or in a relevant field
  • Professional Certification or Masters Degree is preferred
  • Recommended 3+ years of relevant experience and preferred in a similar position/responsibility and/or similar Industry
  • Fluent in both English and Arabic (mandatory)
