DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the lead teacher in carrying out the curriculum and daily activities, including both long- and short-range goals
• Support the lesson plans and activities provided by the Lead Teacher and follow their lead and direction
• Uphold and engage in the program’s philosophy
• Maintain a consistent daily routine, including classroom structures, mealtimes, physical play, a nap period, and outside play
• Assist children throughout the daily routine; provide extra assistance in the bathroom, during transition, and during meal
• Encourage age-appropriate learning experiences
• Sing songs, play games, read books; build from the children’s knowledge and skills
• Put the well-being of children and their families first
• Adapt to the needs of all children in the classroom
• Assist in conflict management between children in the classroom; teach the children skills that they are missing
• Building lasting relationships and connections with children and families
• Actively engaging with all children by getting down on their level and having fun
• Physically move yourself around the environment to actively engage and monitor children inside and outside to ensure everyone’s
• Engage children in positive, productive activities that support their learning and development
• Provide quality, nurturing care to all children enrolled in the program
• Being respectful and creating partnerships with your co-workers must possess a solid ability to communicate positively and
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for children and staff; this includes cleaning responsibilities throughout the day
• Accurately fill out and maintain daily roster, daily reports, accident/incident reports, medication logs, and behavior documentation
