responsibilities?
• Control and supervision of all PLC/Controls related Operations and Maintenance activities in all Siemens Customer Service sites assuring overall target of system availability as well as all other contractual KPIs.
• Proactive approach to ensure that the upkeep/maintenance of the system is done technically with close coordination of the field team in order to reduce/negate issues that may contribute to operational impact.
• Troubleshooting of all PLC/Controls related issues in all Customer Service sites (DXB, DWC, AUH, SHJ Airports, DFC/MHS, UPS, etc), which is inclusive of logic, communication and any hardware pertaining to the PLC system.
• Responsible for any minor/major modification of the system w.r.t. high and low-level electrical controls inclusive of hardware and software. Eg. PLC, drives, HMI's, etc. (2nd and 3rd level PLC backup).
• Suggest and implement PLC/Controls improvements.
• Prepare technical reports related to System Improvements, Incidents.
• Control and monitor material flow within the system via SCADA and CCTV.
• Ensure proper communication from the control room to field supervisors/technicians and vice versa for proper fault finding. Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
• Role requires working in shifts and providing emergency on-site and on-call support as per requirement.
• Perform analysis on issues raised by the operations team and suggest adequate solutions in order to resolve the issue permanently. In the case of the system, anomaly provides technical advice to field staff as the basis for any operational decisions. Identify and coordinate training requirements.
