Job Description
- Demonstrate work methods when necessary and from time to time actually perform the tasks that his subordinate craftsmen/workers do not have the skill or experience to perform. Makes sketches for instructional purposes.
- Full knowledge to operate and repair blasting and painting equipments and tools.
- Correct maintenance of all blasting and painting equipments and tools. Able to identify parts no. required in ordering replacement.
- Participate in the training and development of subordinates.
- Ensure that his subordinates are properly equipped, and equipment issued or allocated are correctly used and maintained in a safe and effective manner.
- Responsible for maintaining safety of site for both his crew and others needing access to it.
- Investigate any grievances of his subordinates in order to try to determine the real cause of difficulties and handling them appropriately.
- Coordinate with offshore project engineers in estimating manpower equipment, tools, and materials required to be mobilized for the project and non available equipment / Materials to be placed by purchase order.
- Understand how to test all paints equipment to get valid third party certificates and annual checking of validity and expiring date including all inspection instrument.
- Perform Internal audit and insure equipments and supplies and available in the stockroom. Close monitoring and control of paints materials and consumable item.
- Full understanding of how to use inspection instrument and perform quality control blasting / Painting inspection and test.
- Full understanding of company and client blasting and painting procedures and specification.
- Interpret paints manufacturer data sheet for paints application, coating interval, drying time, and mixing requirement.
- Ensure Implementation of the Company internal work permit system to carry out work in hazardous area.
- Conduct job training of newly arrived personnel prior to mobilization for offshore assignment.
- Conduct qualification test for foreman / blaster and coating applicator intended for project as client requirement.
